All works should be on the subject of “Transcendent” or "Transcendence".

THE ART COLLECTIVE GALLERY "TRANSCENDENT" SHOW DATES: Dates TBD at The Art Collective Gallery at 228 S First St Rogers, Arkansas 72756 JURORS: James Forman: Gallery Owner of The Art Collective Gallery in Historic Downtown Rogers, Arkansas & Marsha Lane Foster: Lane Foster Fine Art also in Historic Downtown Rogers.

THEME: Transcendent describes anything that has to do with the spiritual, non-physical world. When something is transcendent or transcendental, it's beyond ordinary, everyday experience. It might be religious, spiritual, or otherworldly, but if it's transcendental, it transcends or goes beyond the regular physical realm.

MEDIUMS AND JUDGING: Inviting all artists working in the following disciplines & mediums: painting, mixed media, photography, assemblage & textile. Judging the work will rely on overall impact, content, composition and mastery of techniques in addition to being consistent with the theme “transcendent”. Attention to creativity and craftsmanship is a very important part as well.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING ART: You must follow the following guidelines when submitting or your entry or it will not be judged. The Art Collective Gallery reserves the right to reject any work that does not comply with the entry criteria or for any other reason the jurors deem. Works must be no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches without the frame. 3D works must be no larger than 12 inches in any direction. Art must be completely dry. Your entries must be ready for display with hanging hardware (if applicable). Wall and suspended art must have suitable means for hanging. NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS. Standing art must be stable. Set-up diagram must accompany multiple pieces and installation art. All art must remain in place for the duration of the show. Art must be for sale & you must provide a price upon acceptance. Consider weight, cost of two way shipping and the fragility of your media if you are planning to mailing your entry.

1. State your name, address & phone number.
2. State any title(s), or narratives that accompany the work. State the dimensions of the work with and without frame if applicable. 3. List all the media used in the description field for your entries. Art must be in a finished state (no works in progress) when entering to be judged.
4. Submit clear, well lit photos of your work including frame (if applicable). Show dates: July 9-31 2020 Application end date: May 31, 2020 Notification of acceptance: June 13, 2020 All work MUST arrive at The Art Collective Gallery by June 26, 2020 at 7:00 pm. Artists’ reception: TBD 2020 at 6:00 PM

REQUIREMENTS: You will be provided with an exhibition agreement upon your acceptance to the call outlining the gallery’s agreement with you to handle & sell your work. Do not ship or deliver your work until the agreement has been executed.

SALES: The Art Collective Gallery charges a 40% commission plus tax on art sold. The Art Collective Gallery will collect the payment for the artist. Your payment less the 40% commission will be rebated to your address within 45 days of the close of the show.

LIABILITY: The Art Collective Gallery will take all due precautions to protect premises and art. However, The Art Collective Gallery is not responsible for loss due to damage, theft, vandalism, or accident. If work is fragile, it is submitted at the artist's own risk. Each artist is responsible for your own insurance.
SHIPPING/DROP-OFF: Artists are responsible for safely shipping their art, which must be received by June 26, 2020. For local Drop-Off, artwork must arrive by 7 pm on June 25, 2020.

COMPLETE SHIPPING DETAILS AND EXHIBIT AGREEMENT WILL BE EMAILED TO ACCEPTED APPLICANTS. RETURN SHIPPING/PICK-UP: Any artwork delivered in person or shipped without reusable packaging material or without prepaid shipping label must be retrieved by the artist at the end of the exhibition unless sold. Art must be picked up by August 8, 2020 during the gallery’s normal hours. If you do not provide prepaid shipping arrangements & packaging OR pick up in person your art will not be returned to you and it will be considered abandoned. Shipping or drop off instructions/location will be provided upon acceptance. After 30 days, art will be considered abandoned. Abandoned artwork will be considered property of the gallery. Please ensure that we have good contact information for you so that we can avoid this situation.
